If u haven’t already un-zip the core file u got from the windows ddownload of the game so a folder is located somewhere. From there run Wineskin in the new window that pops open. Once it is done it will ask if u want to open finder location select yes or open in finder whichever it says. It doesn’t matter what you name it but if you want to keep it identical to mine just name it “Pokemon Insurgence” just like that. After all this is complete click “Create New Blank Wrapper”. From here select update under wrapper version and wait for it to update, then click the + button and install the latest engine version. (if these steps didnt work for u try the manual method here GitHub - Gcenx/WineskinServer: Wineskin Unofficial Update)Īfter all of these have been completed u should now have Wineskin Winery in your applications folder, open it. So first u r going to need the Insurgence Core and Wineskin, the core can be downloaded by just getting the full windows version of the game and to get wineskin just run the following lines in terminal one at a time (some of these take awhile to run so make sure u always see the $ or % before u run the next line!):īrew install -no-quarantine unofficial-wineskin This will make them look like Windows, not X11 or Mac windows, but honestly my fan stopped complaining since I did all of this, and it loads much more quickly.Alright this is very exciting as wineskin has released a new version to run 32 bit window applications on Mac! So I’m going to give u the run down so u 2 can play Pokemon Insurgence on Mac once again. Choose "Rootless", "Normal Windows", and "Force Normal Windows"ĥ. I did not purchase the app through Steam, but I have deleted Steam versions for friends and replaced with Wineskin Winery versions in order to manage their WINE installation and troubleshoot Steam issues. ![]() I did some digging and there appears to be an issue with how 'Window Decoration' is handled by Wine, but I can't figure out how to configure this for FG. Currently my only workaround is to keep quitting and launching FG until I get a window with a border. The other half of the time I launch FG, I see a friendly border a the top of the window, with the standard red, yellow, and green buttons, and this works wonderfully and can be re-sized and moved normally. I can attempt to go fullscreen by right clicking within the FG app, but doing so gives mea zoomed window displaying roughly a quarter of the screen, that I also cannot resize. About half the time I launch FG, the windows are borderless, and I cannot move or resize the window with the mouse (cursor appears as an X over the edges of the window), and the options under the OSX Window menu (Close, Minimize, Zoom) while FG is running are greyed out. I'm running FG via Steam on a touchbar MacBook Pro with Sierra 10.12.3 and experiencing an unpredictable windowing behavior.
